Snow Day

Wednesday night, or I guess it was really Thursday morning, we had a really nasty storm blow in with hurricane force winds and snow.  The Kiwi and I were both wide awake at 4 am thanks to the wind and the house shaking.  It was not cool.  I do not like wind noise.  And the blowing snow was pretty wicked as well, all of the windows on ground level of the house were covered.  It was a bit claustrophobic!  When we got up we knew there would be some pretty good snow drifts.  And sure enough when I opened the front door the snow wave that forms in our yard every year was finally back.
